It will not come as a surprise that I suggest you should visit the website of the Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy – DIPD. I spent the years 2011-16 as Director to get DIPD started with partners in 14 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America – working closely with a small group of hard working and dedicated staff, the Board of the Institute (and in particular with the Chairman, Henrik Bach Mortensen), and not least the political parties represented in the DAnish parliament.

Resources did not allow the level of information that we would like to see. But you will still find many interesting stories about how progress in the difficult area of political party support is made at the practical level, as compared to the many theoretical and strategic ideas one may have about how to do it. The Danish political parties tell about their interactions in exchange and training programmes in countries like Bolivia, Swaziland, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Ghana and Palestine. The Institute tell about multi-party capacity building in countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Egypt , Tanzania and Malawi. In addition, the Annual Reports are great!
